Columbia Way West Floating Home Moorage

columbia river sunsetColumbia Way West is located in Bridgeton neighborhood in the heart of the North Portland Harbor. The floating homes all face North. There is a dock of sailboats between the floating homes and the open harbor water. This moorage is right across the river from the popular Island Café.

The moorage is divided into two parts. Slips 1 to 7 are owned by the residents who purchase that part of the moorage from the owner a few years ago. The rest of the moorage is slip lease. The owners have an agreement with the past owner which describes how common expenses will be handled such as water, garbage service and dock maintenance. That agreement would be part of the buyer’s due diligence when purchasing one of these homes.

Parking is on the street, with usually two designated parking spaces per home. There are rentable garages nearby. Boat parking should be evaluated for each home when considering a purchase. This is a well kept moorage. The monthly fee for the leased slip end is between $450 and $600 a month.
